Coaches Attend Clinic in Penticton

Head Coach, Randy LeBlanc and Assistant Coach and Team Manager, Colleen Bryant, attended their third leg of their National Coaching Certification Program  on January 24, 25 at the Penticton Community Rec Centre.  With Canadian Sport Institute/ Pacific Sport Master Coach and Instructor, Marc Bowles presenting valuable learning tools and engaging conversation, Randy took the opportunity to demonstrate some wheelchair rugby skills to other coaches that otherwise may not have known what it takes to be a disabled athlete.

Coming Up : February 22, 23, 2014, the team and the Coaches of the Kelowna KOs will all get to learn from the Masters of Rugby as Provincial Head Coach, Adam Frost, National Athlete and Provincial Coach, Ian Chan, as well as Canadian Sport Institute Master Coach, Marc Bowles present an intensive 2 day workshop for everyone to advance their technique in  drills, skills, and practicing the complex sport of Wheelchair Rugby !  All competition team athletes and guest members are welcome….Come help us work on our A-Bilities together !!

Then on March 13, additional Coach training will be hosted by BC Wheelchair Sports prior to the Vancouver Invitational at the Richmond Oval, and led by

Canadian National Team Coach,   Kevin Orr !!
